’Let the world’s artists congregate!’, announced Christoph Tannert, the Director of Künstlerhaus Bethanien at the opening gala. The largest community was present here: the Frieze, which is nearly 80 meters in length, contained as many as 300 pieces of artwork that were made by nearly 100 artists from 15 nations. Definite clusters started to manifest themselves within the collection and amazing sympathies and parallels emerged between the artwork. There were some lonely ones as well, yet they always found their right positions somehow. The opening gala was rather a magnificent event with a great party: summer evening, music, dance, and many-many young people came along. Thanks to Ági Gelencsér and Márton Méhes. |
